Fleurieu Peninsula Chef, Simon Burr has eagerly joined this program to assist with his extensive experience creating menus, engineering current menus and sourcing local produce to promote our great state.

Simon is passionate about helping business owners and chefs to recognise their potential and increase profit margins while not compromising on quality produce.

Simon with Partner Lauren Alexander (pictured) together started The Olfactory in 2015 and ran this as a successful restaurant before offering for sale in late 2019, wanting to follow a different path and explore new horizons. Simon is currently the Executive Chef for the McLaren Vale Hotel where they pride themselves on the local produce they use to create their menu.

Simon has had a varied career, including working onboard the ‘Lady Eugenie’ for Kangaroo Island Sailing as Head Chef in 2014 and catering for the Birdsville Races for 11 consecutive years bringing a slice of class and distinction to the renowned event.
